"Holy
Oil" “Holy Oil” was named and was inspired by God to tell people about the Holy Oil of God. "The elements are of Jesus – the wood of the basket for the wood of the cross. The oil – for the Anointed One. The red berries – for the blood of Christ. Little did I know that Lionel Luckhoo my brother –in-law would die the year this was painted. At his funeral I met Mr. Wes Bush. After the funeral we spoke of Lionel’s love of painting and poetry. As we talked, Mr. Bush mentioned he had just written a poem and named it 'Holy Oil.' "For a minute I was speechless. I exclaimed I had just finished a painting called “Holy Oil”. We both decided this must be one of God’s holy moments. I decided to include some of the poem in my painting, and Mr. Bush has graciously allowed me to give a copy of his poem as a gift with each print sold. That meeting was confirmation from God that He wanted the painting done."
